POSITION OVERVIEW

The core duty of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is to implement direct physical therapy treatments as instructed, assigned, and overseen by the Physical Therapist. This role also involves documenting the treatments administered and tracking progress in patient records. You will be entrusted with ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of quality care at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures all residents are treated equitably, with kindness, dignity, and respect, safeguarding their rights at all times.
  • Respects and honors all residents' personal and property rights while performing duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room.
  • Adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Administers care to patients as directed by a licensed therapist.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from an accredited Assistant Program.
  • Successful completion of the certification/state licensure process for Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Commitment to the organization's mission of consistently providing high-quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity, enhancing every life we touch.   • Must possess current registration/licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant.
