Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Associate to join our team at Ingredion Incorporated. As a Sanitation Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Food Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mechanized equipment safely and efficiently to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Load and unload materials/finished goods using powered industrial vehicles.
  • Backup for shipping and receiving at the ROC facility.
  • Execute sanitation and waste management needs at the ROC facility.
  • Dispose of waste drums, including process and chemical waste.
  • Support daily warehouse management tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Support high-level cleaning at the ROC warehouse.
  • Support execution of GMPs at the work center.
  • Support maintenance and availability of cleaning tools at the ROC facility.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to work in potentially loud and in strong odorous environments.
  • Must be able to move about in the processing areas and perform tasks that require lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification.
  • Strong communication skills to share information with peers and leaders.
  • Computer literate and SAP experience a plus.
  • Able to develop and apply mechanical/problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice and Food Safety a plus.
