Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kings Dominion. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper electrical maintenance and safe operating condition of all park rides.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and ride control systems
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical work on rides, ride control systems, computer, and PLC
  • Install electrical conduit and wiring; clean electrical equipment and components
  • Maintain controls and motors on rides; maintain ride lighting; maintain ride solid state drives
  • Modify electrical/electronic systems as needed to ensure ride safety and efficiency
  • Review technical documents, blueprints, schematics, catalogs, etc., as needed to support ride maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation work
  • Prepare and/or maintain inspection sheets, daily work records, downtime records, modification forms, various other reports, records, logs, etc.
Requirements
  • Three to five years experience preferred in the electrical field, with experience in controls including PLC's, AC/DC drives, proximity switches, etc.
  • Allen Bradley experience helpful
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and ladder logic
  • Must have computer experience, Microsoft Office preferred
  • Must have good written and verbal skills
  • A Journey or Master Electrician License is helpful
  • Ability to climb to heights of 350 feet
  • Driver's License
