This role involves modifying, repairing, and overhauling electronic and electrical systems and controls. The technician will utilize their knowledge of electronic principles to identify equipment malfunctions and apply their skills to restore functionality. Responsibilities include ensuring production and quality standards are met for the assigned equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Interprets wiring diagrams, specifications, and instructions related to both emergency and scheduled repairs, installations, and inspections.
- Conducts work that requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical and electronic theories, wiring standards, local and national electrical codes, material properties, and the operational principles of electronic equipment.
- Develops detailed work plans to assess material needs and formulates logical solutions to repair challenges.
- Services electronic devices by diagnosing, testing, and replacing defective components, circuit modules, and printed circuit boards.
- Performs comprehensive electronic and electrical maintenance across the facility, making necessary operational adjustments.
- Evaluates mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and operational issues with assigned equipment, implementing corrective measures to optimize production and quality.
- Installs and maintains communication and power distribution cables, performing splicing as necessary.
- Fabricates components using standard machine and hand tools relevant to the trade.
- Keeps accurate performance and maintenance records for electronic and electrical systems.
- Executes repair, refurbishment, or overhaul tasks on manufacturing or service equipment based on blueprints and company manuals.
- Familiarity with AC/DC drives/motors and PLCs is preferred.
Compensation: Competitive pay rate based on experience.
