The Advanced Practice Provider will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care as part of the Allegheny Health Network team. This individual will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide primary or acute healthcare services for various health conditions, adhering to the organization's policies and standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough patient histories, review medical records, and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
• Order and interpret laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies to determine patient treatment plans.
• Make accurate medical diagnoses and implement appropriate therapies within the scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support medical coding and billing.
• Provide patient education and guidance on medical care matters.
• Record and report pertinent information in the electronic medical record and to the attending physician.
Qualifications:
• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited program or a Pennsylvania Board of Nursing Approved Master's or Post Master's program.
• Current Pennsylvania Physician Assistant License or Current Pennsylvania CRNP license and current Pennsylvania RN license.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• CPR – American Heart Association certification.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of department-specific experience.
• ACLS certification and DEA license.
