Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist PRN to join our team at Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations with compassion and accuracy, working under the direction of a physician to assist in medical diagnosis or treatment of injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation for exams.
  • Perform MRI examinations according to department protocol.
  • Understand cross-sectional anatomy and demonstrate anatomical positioning competency.
  • Critique own films and complete studies within acceptable time limitations.
  • Select proper scanning techniques and protocols in coordination with radiologists.
  • Administer intravenous contrast material as ordered by physicians and under radiologist supervision.
  • Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
  • Operate MRI equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
  • View, transfer, archive, and manipulate images.
  • Troubleshoot MRI scanner issues and understand shutdown and startup procedures.
  • Adhere to MRI safety policy and the FOUR ZONE concept.
Requirements
  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in MRI or Advanced Radiologic Science.
Physical Requirements

This role requires ongoing visual attention, verbal communication, and manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment. You will also need to lift and transfer patients, as well as navigate crowded areas.
