Role Summary:
In the realm of autonomous vehicles, the complexity of software systems is unparalleled, particularly in safety-critical contexts. We are in search of a dedicated Systems Test Engineer to spearhead the integration of AI driving functionalities within autonomous vehicles. Your role will encompass supporting various testing initiatives, including both functional and regression assessments.

You will take charge of defining and executing systems integration strategies, collaborating with systems engineers, safety specialists, and simulation experts to ensure the successful delivery of driving features and AI integration.


Key Responsibilities:


As a pivotal technical leader, your focus will be on crafting and refining testing methodologies aimed at evaluating the driving performance of our autonomous software suite.

Your efforts will enhance the identification of autonomous vehicle behaviors through simulation and real-world testing by innovating tooling enhancements and meticulously documenting processes.

Collaboration with teams specializing in Motion Planning, Perception, Prediction, and other robotics disciplines will be essential to validate driving behaviors, ensuring both safety and user comfort.

You will also work alongside the simulation tools development team to offer insights into the capabilities necessary for the testing teams.

Additionally, you will develop dashboards and progress-tracking reports to optimize efficiency through a metrics-driven approach.

Mentorship opportunities will arise as you guide component-level test engineers in reviewing feature design documents and implementing data-informed decision-making for the quality of AI software.


Qualifications:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
Over 5 years of professional experience in testing intricate software systems or in modeling and simulation roles.
Experience in environments focused on mission-critical or safety-sensitive product development.
Proficiency with git, continuous integration environments, Python, Jupyter, and Linux operating systems.
Experience in devising and executing scalable test strategies across multiple testing teams.
Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in robotics, autonomous vehicle technologies, and the development of data-driven metrics.
