Job Summary

As a member of the healthcare team, the LPN functions under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Supervisor, and/or Practice/Office Manager. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides direct patient care as directed by the provider, including preparing patients for exams, assisting during treatments, and coordinating tests and follow-up care.
  • Assists with patient and family education, promoting health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment.
  • Participates in shared decision-making groups and committees, promoting evidence-based practice and research.
  • May serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other practical nurses, ensuring a current and future qualified workforce.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.
  • Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Previous healthcare experience, preferably in an ambulatory or outpatient setting.
