Job Title: Chief Engineer - Sensor Systems Lead

QinetiQ U.S. is seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer to lead the development of advanced sensor systems for airborne C5ISR applications. The successful candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with a focus on EO-IR and hyperspectral sensors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers through the full product life-cycle, including system architecture, trade analyses, and requirements definition.
  • Apply innovative approaches to designing, integrating, and testing complex engineering sensor systems.
  • Recommend future direction of projects to company leadership and deliver technical briefs to government and contractor personnel.
  • Work with customers and strategic partners to adapt and integrate C5ISR multi-mission payloads to airborne platforms and ground control systems.

Requirements:

  • BS degree or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15+ years of demonstrated experience in design, integration, and test of large C5ISR systems, specializing in EO-IR or hyperspectral sensors and systems airborne applications.
  • 10+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers in executing ISR and EO-IR based sensor systems projects.
