Position Description

The Department of Public Policy at UCLA invites applications for part-time adjunct instructor positions.

Key responsibilities include delivering lectures, holding regular office hours, and assessing student work through grading assignments and exams. A collaborative approach with fellow faculty and departmental staff is crucial.

We encourage applicants whose teaching, research, and community engagement experiences align with our dedication to diversity and excellence.

Appointments are typically made on a quarterly basis for the following terms:

Summer (various session start dates): June-September

Fall: October 1 - December 31

Winter: January 1 - March 31

Spring: April 1 - June 30

Refer to the salary guidelines for Unit 18 Faculty (Pre-Six Year Lecturers) for more details on compensation. The estimated annual salary for this position is between $66,259 and $81,491, which will be adjusted based on the teaching workload percentage.

This position is represented by the University Council - American Federation of Teachers. Internal candidates will be prioritized for reappointment before external candidates are considered.
