Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for handling and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating radiation detection and imaging equipment, and ensuring the proper preparation of patients for exams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assay, record, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals
  • Operate SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT imaging and radiation detection equipment
  • Position and immobilize patients as needed, select proper imaging and data processing techniques
  • Deliver patient care under the scope of license/training, maintain effective working relations and communication with departmental and other hospital personnel
  • Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment, complete paperwork and RIS functions as necessary

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of an approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Must be registered or eligible for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
