Job Title: Mammography Technologist

Job Summary:

As a Mammography Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate technologist to join our team in the Capitol Hill Medical Center's Mammography Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mammographic equipment to take x-ray exposures of patients as requested by referring physicians.
  • Review patients' medical history prior to performing mammographic procedures and confirm that patients have signed a contrast media consent form if needed.
  • Process film and inspect images to confirm that images meet requirements of radiologists.
  • Maintain equipment and examination rooms, store film, and keep inventory of related supplies.
  • Prepare patient files showing information such as patients' names, dates of x-ray, referring physicians, and number of exposures.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.

Requirements:
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technologist, including on-the-job training and internships, or registry-eligible ARRT advanced certification in Mammography (must be obtained within six (6) months of hire) with a minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Radiological technologist with ARRT.
  • Specialized training in mammographic technology required.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification, Basic Life Support, and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Mammography Technologist.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as a mammographic technologist with the ARRT preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) education.

Work Environment:
  • Primary Location: District of Columbia, Washington, Capitol Hill Medical Center.
  • Hours per Week: 1.
  • Shift: Day.
  • Workdays: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat.
  • Working Hours Start: 08:00 AM.
  • Working Hours End: 05:00 PM.
  • Job Schedule: Call-in/On-Call.
  • Job Type: Standard.
  • Employee Status: Regular.
