Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our company, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with patients. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Process prescriptions, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers and patients to ensure a positive experience.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, adhering to Walgreens service traits.
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
  • Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems and ensuring information is entered correctly.
  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures.
  • Strictly adhere to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required.
  • Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
  • Prefer good computer skills.
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
