Casa Bonita Denver is seeking a highly skilled Line Attendant Crew Member to join our team in Lakewood, Colorado. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Rotate through the guest cafeteria style serving line, deep frying sopapillas, hand making tortillas, preparing pastries, and prepping all ingredients for the cooks.
  • Wear correct uniform and practice positive personal hygiene.
  • Use required safety equipment, including a hat, net, gloves, beard net, and non-slip shoes.
  • Keep a clean and well-organized work area throughout the shift.
  • Stand and exert well-paced mobility for the entire shift.
  • Bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently to receive and store stock, supplies, and equipment.
  • Lift, handle, and carry food, small wares, equipment, supplies, and paper goods up to 50 pounds.
  • Adhere to food safety procedures and regulations.
  • Stock stations correctly and keep them refilled throughout the shift.
  • Prepare all food ingredients and items according to recipe specifications.
  • Prepare all menu items to plate presentation specifications, including portion size, presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Prepare all food orders to above standards within ticket time specifications.
  • Use a knife repetitively.
  • Work at a fryer for the entire shift.
  • Use other kitchen equipment, including ovens, stove, mixers, blenders, and others.
  • Adhere to all health code standards.
  • Monitor correct food temperatures during the entire shift.
  • Ensure all food items are correctly stored and packaged and dated properly.
  • Rotate stock items according to established procedures.
  • Clean kitchen appliances and machines when done using before the end of the shift.
  • Help other team members with unloading and storing deliveries.
  • Assist other staff members with tasks when needed, or cover them during breaks or lunch.
  • Take out the trash.
  • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Work in a wet floor environment, with temperature extremes, smoke, dust, and loud noise.

Requirements:

  • Have 6 months of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Be over 18 years old.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Be able to stand, walk, and run during the complete working shift.
  • Be able to communicate clearly with the team for all responsibilities of the job. Bilingual is preferred.
  • Get ServeSafe certified.
  • Attend all orientation and training shifts.
  • Work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Be able to multitask and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Meet speed, accuracy, and efficiency requirements while working well under pressure.
  • Be able to work in a loud, distracting environment with flashing lights, haze machines, ongoing shows, and large numbers of guests constantly moving around.
  • Be willing to follow procedures and take direction.
  • Support other team members.
  • Be able to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining quality.
  • Be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, days, late nights, holidays, and special events. All shifts include a minimum of one weekend day.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Stand for long periods and walk often at a brisk pace.
  • Walk up inclines and stairs and down declines and stairs multiple times during a shift.
  • Be capable of sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds.
  • Work and perform job tasks in small spaces.
  • Possess fine motor skills and dexterity.
  • Withstand temperatures typical in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Withstand noise levels typical of a high-volume kitchen.
  • Perform job duties efficiently in lighting conditions typical of a commercial restaurant and commercial kitchen.
  • Work calmly under pressure and at a fast pace, typical of a high-volume restaurant and commercial kitchen.
  • Be comfortable with engaging with the public, potentially encountering challenging behavior, infectious diseases, and service animals.
  • Walk a minimum of 10,000 steps during any given shift.
