Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Facilities Engineer to join our team at TEKsystems. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our critical infrastructure, including risk management, corrective and preventative maintenance, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage shift technicians, senior shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, and more.
  • Assist in the design and build-out of new facilities and projects to increase current facility efficiency.
  • Manage asset and inventory management, and assist in recruiting efforts.
  • Deliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Military/Trade School Degree and relevant experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 2-4 years of management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of Data Center Engineering Experience.
  • 2-4 years of Data Center Management Experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout, as well as low-voltage copper/fiber cabling.
