Laundry Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laundry Tech to join our team at CHI Lakewood Health. As a Laundry Tech, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and employees by providing laundry services.

• Sort and process soiled linen according to fabric type, color, and degree of soil.
• Operate washing machines and dryers to ensure proper water levels and temperature.
• Load and unload washing machines and dryers, and report any malfunctions to the department manager.
• Feed clean, flat work pieces through a mangle and separate torn linen for mending.
• Fold and stack dried articles, such as bath blankets, towels, and gowns, and place them in storage shelves.
• Assemble linen requirements for departments according to established daily supply standards.
• Inspect linen articles for tears, holes, and general condition of fabric, and determine if they should be mended or discarded.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently, and report any damaged or unsafe equipment.

• General computer knowledge to complete required online training and access email.
• General knowledge of housekeeping duties.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
