Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Delivery: Safely operate a heavy-duty rollback truck to transport equipment to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Route Planning: Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Dispatch Coordination: Coordinate with the dispatch team to ensure accurate and timely deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Equipment Handling: Load and unload equipment, ensuring that it is secured correctly and documented properly.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate the operations of the rented equipment to the customer/operator and provide excellent customer service during delivery and pick-up operations, representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Logistics and Reporting: Complete logs and reports, including travel and fuel logs, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Proven work experience as a truck driver, specifically in equipment delivery and transportation.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift heavy objects and equipment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, good verbal communication skills, and adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Equipment Operation: Experience in operating equipment such as boom lifts, skid loaders, forklifts, etc.
  • GPS and Route Planning: Familiarity with GPS devices and route planning tools.
  • Customer Service: Customer service experience.
