Job Title: Adjunct Faculty: Automotive Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Instructor to join our team at South Louisiana Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching automotive courses, maintaining a safe and effective learning environment, and contributing to the development of our automotive program.

Responsibilities:

• Teach automotive courses to students, including lecture and laboratory instruction
• Maintain a safe and effective learning environment, including the operation and maintenance of shop equipment
• Develop and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
• Participate in program development and evaluation
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with at least three years of directly-related occupational experience and skill in the field to be taught
• Relevant current professional certification and/or licensure in the field to be taught
• Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching experience in post-secondary education
• Current ASE Master Certification
