Job Summary

The Lead CT Technologist is responsible for operating computerized tomographic scanners to produce high-quality radiographs of designated anatomical areas. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality radiographs of designated anatomical areas
  • Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance
  • Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures
  • Expose and develop film
  • Operate mobile equipment in operating rooms, emergency departments, or at patient's bedside
  • Monitor, record, and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
  • Orient and mentor new staff members
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
  • Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material
  • Assist with transporting patients
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Graduate / GED
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of CT scanning procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to providing exceptional patient care
