Operations Manager Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Intern to join our team at Target. As an Operations Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leading a team within a Target Supply Chain Facility.
This paid 40-hour/week internship is designed to develop and prepare you for an Operations Manager role. You will work closely with other managers and team members to develop an understanding of how Target's supply chain business works and what it takes to excel in a management role.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the execution of daily operations by working beside your team members and learning to lead, motivate, and influence a team.
- Develop an understanding of how Target's supply chain business works and what it takes to excel in a management role.
- Work closely with a Mentor to gain a deeper dive into how they effectively lead their department.
- Conduct real-time observations, problem-solve, and drive results while ensuring safety is a top priority and productivity is maximized.
- Participate in daily meetings, share pertinent company and site-specific information, and lead/present at daily planning meetings with peer/leadership team.
- Plan daily goals, organize shift plans, and provide summary of results around plan attainment, share hurdles, successes, and key learnings to apply moving forward.
- Conduct audits around standard adherence with safety, quality, and productivity, and share feedback and coach team members on audit observations.
- Partner with leaders regarding team member performance, teach, coach, train, and deliver timely performance feedback.
