Job Overview

As a Club J Teacher at the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center, you will play a vital role in creating and implementing structured programs that promote learning and growth in children grades K-6. This is a year-round position that offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our young members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students
  • Supervise and interact with children in individual and group settings to foster a safe and inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality in our programs
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to address concerns and share progress
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to regulatory requirements to ensure compliance

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in teaching or youth development; experience in a licensed child care center or comparable program preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid California Driver License and ability to transport children safely
