Facade Drafter

A leading commercial building enclosure company is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join their team. With a diverse portfolio of projects in the facade industry, this company is passionate about delivering high-quality results.

We are looking for a CAD Drafter with strong AutoCAD skills and experience in glazing or aluminum composite panel design. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and have a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare shop drawings for architects' approval and fabrication using AutoCAD
• Develop detailed B.O.M. (Bill of Materials) for projects
• Conduct field measurements and layouts to ensure precise installation
• Collaborate with architects and general contractors to coordinate details and ensure seamless project execution
• Draft and detail wall panels, curtain wall trims, and specialty items such as aluminum screens, sunshades, and expansion joints

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in composite panel, facade, or curtain wall drafting
• Strong AutoCAD skills and experience with construction software
• Construction background and understanding of building design principles
• Excellent communication and math skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with aluminum composite material (ACM panel) design and fabrication
• Ability to create detailed shop drawings and coordinate with project stakeholders
