Role Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to enhance our team of skilled professionals in the Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, supportive, and professional atmosphere while managing responsibilities in a high-energy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to patients as prescribed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures performed.
  • Assist in various interventional procedures.
  • Monitor patients for any signs of infection or adverse reactions.
  • Track and record vital signs of patients.
  • Oversee patient sedation levels during and post-procedure.
  • Prepare for potential emergency situations.
  • Conduct pre and post-catheterization assessments.
  • Participate in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
  • Support diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Ensure all consent forms are completed accurately.
  • Provide discharge instructions to patients and their families regarding procedures, medications, activities, and dietary needs.
  • Prepare patients for upcoming procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience as an RN in a clinical environment.
  • Valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current certifications as required by the facility.
  • Expertise in cardiology nursing procedures and skills, including cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation.
  • Familiarity with cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and rhythm interpretation is preferred.
  • Experience with Cerner EMR is advantageous.
