Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Special Procedures team at Altru Health. As a Special Procedures RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily rounds on all patients to ensure quality customer service and coordinate any requirements not met.
  • Develop a plan of care based on assessment that reflects the patient's physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.
  • Assess the patient's condition and nursing needs, set goals, and prescribe appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of the patient.
  • Identify the early warning signs of a change in a patient's condition and respond appropriately to a deteriorating patient.
  • Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patient conditions.
  • Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate multidisciplinary team member and record those observations accurately and concisely.
  • Ensure that intervention or referrals are made promptly and complete and submit all incident reports prior to the completion of each shift.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse license in North Dakota or Compact State Agreement.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of start date.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
