Internal Medicine Core Faculty/Site Director Physician

Gould Medical Group, in partnership with Sutter Health, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Medicine Core Faculty/Site Director physician to join our team in Modesto, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is passionate about education and leadership to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and patients.
Responsibilities- Supervise residents and medical students in the outpatient continuity clinic, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Create an effective ambulatory practice, balancing educational, service, and patient needs, and develop processes that teach residents cost-effective medicine.
- Develop and implement ambulatory curriculum, identifying and expanding ambulatory learning experiences to provide a balanced education in ambulatory medicine.
- Complete resident and student evaluations, mentor resident physicians, and participate in resident morning report.
- Participate in curriculum development with the Residency program, advise and assist in resident evaluation, and complete faculty evaluations of residents in a timely manner.
- Evaluate physician residents using competency-based/milestone evaluations, respect ACGME limits on resident work hours, and intervene as appropriate.
- Must have and maintain current certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in the education of residents, devote sufficient time to the Residency Program, and pursue faculty development annually.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the most up-to-date program-specific requirements, include current licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment, and ongoing clinical activity.
- Must demonstrate ongoing academic achievements in the specialty, including publications, the development of educational programs, or the conduct of research.
- Be licensed to practice medicine in the state of California, have faculty experience, leadership, organizational, and administrative qualifications, and be designated by the Program Director.
- The Core Faculty reports to the Program Director.
- Starting base salary: $300,000.
