Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CASAC to join our team. As a CASAC, you will be responsible for providing direct group and individual counseling to program clients, working closely with case management staff to develop and implement treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess program clients and participants to screen for substance abuse history and/or issues
  • Document, implement, and update the treatment and/or individual service plan (ISP) for clients as assigned
  • Write weekly progress notes
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions, including relapse prevention
  • Participate in quality assurance review as required by program management

Requirements

  • Certificates or Licenses: Valid CASAC license/credential Required
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Social Services strongly preferred. H.S Diploma or GED required
  • Experience: Three years' experience treating clients with history of alcohol or substance abuse Excellent interviewing and clinical assessment skills
  • Knowledge of CARES a plus.
  • Computer skills: Proficient Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet and other software skills are required
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
