POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Cashier plays a vital role in managing customer transactions, receiving payments for products and services, and accurately documenting these transactions. This position often serves as the final point of contact for customers, necessitating a friendly and professional demeanor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in customer service
  • Basic proficiency with computers and office equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Utilize the dealership's computer system to calculate customer bills.
  • Process cash, checks, and credit card payments, ensuring accurate recording on repair orders or counter tickets.
  • Provide accurate change and issue receipts to customers, ensuring all repair orders are signed at the time of payment.
  • Verify and reconcile totals of counter tickets and repair orders against all forms of payment at the end of each shift.
  • Direct customers with further inquiries to the appropriate service advisor or personnel.
  • Address customer complaints with professionalism and direct them to the right individual for resolution.
  • Process cash refunds for approved merchandise returns accurately.
  • Maintain service files in a timely manner.
  • Perform receptionist duties as required.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and report any incidents to a supervisor immediately.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to engage positively with customers and maintain a helpful attitude.
  • Capability to discuss services knowledgeably and candidly.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient organizational and data entry skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, WORK ENVIRONMENTS, and WORK SCHEDULE:

Proficiency in operating office equipment such as computers, copiers, and telephones is essential. The role requires routine physical activities, including bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching. Employees must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

WORK LOCATION:

This position may involve travel to various office locations or off-site meetings as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and holidays.

Salary / Pay: $16.00 per hour
