Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at OSF HealthCare. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work in accordance with evidence-based policies and procedures to provide respiratory therapy to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medical gases, medications, airway clearance, mechanical ventilation, and other respiratory modalities as ordered by the prescribing physician.
  • Monitor levels of supplies and equipment for department and patient care areas.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to care of neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited school.
  • Basic electronic medical record documentation skills.
  • BLS certification required, NRP certification after 6 months of hire.
  • Credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS certification preferred for MSS.
