Admissions Counselor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Admissions Counselor to join our team at West Virginia University. As an Admissions Counselor, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a student recruitment program designed to meet enrollment goals in a targeted geographic area with specific student populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a Territory Management Plan for the assigned market, including promotion and branding of WVU Potomac State College at college fairs, high school visits, panels and information sessions, virtual sessions and special events.
• Counsel students on the benefits of higher education and characteristics of academic programs offered by WVU Potomac State College.
• Interpret admissions requirements and procedures outlined in PSC's catalog to students, teachers, counselors and others as required.
• Assist prospective students and families in understanding financial aid regulations and requirements.
• Proactively follow-up with students, parents and high school counselors from initial contact through enrollment to assure students have every opportunity to enroll.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of six (6) months of previously related and progressively responsible experience in sales, marketing or public relations.
• Valid driver's license.
