Pioneer Animal Hospital is a growing, predominantly small animal practice located in the northwestern outskirts of Kansas City. Our team takes a personalized approach to veterinary medicine, prioritizing getting to know our clients and the Leavenworth community.

We're committed to promoting the health and well-being of pets in our community. Our team is positive, informal, and dynamic, with a great dynamic full of laughter and fun. We prioritize evidence-based medicine and practice Fear Free patient handling.

We're a five-person team with excellent collaboration and a commitment to utilizing our support team and elevating their skills. Our schedule is primarily comprised of appointments, with most of our anesthetic procedures being dentistry. We perform surgeries two mornings each week, with opportunities to expand our surgery cases for a new DVM.

You'll have guidance and thought partnership with a Medical Advisory Board and monthly DVM rounds with an internal medicine specialist. We also offer dentistry training courtesy of a board-certified dental surgeon and an annual CE allowance with paid days off to attend.
