We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems in Pittsfield, MA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for building and wiring production assemblies, R&R hardware, and assisting in the development of future production assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- Build and wire production assemblies, R&R hardware, and assist in the development of future production assemblies.
- Perform related duties as required, including setup and maintenance of workstations and related materials.
- Perform material identification and paint touch-up.
- May give work direction/training to other employees as assigned.
- May perform verification of other employee's work.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Related experience and/or training are desirable.
- Fork Truck Certification, ESD Handling Certification, Work Saver Usage Training, Crane Operator Training, Hazardous Material Handling and Shipping Training, and Security Clearance when required.
- Solder and wire certification, including visual acuity and color perception tests.
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on quality and productivity. The employee will be required to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary range of $25.21/Hr. - $26.05/Hr., depending on experience and qualifications. This position requires 100% on-site work in the Pittsfield, MA facility.
