Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Tech to join our team at UVA Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide procedural support for a variety of patient procedures, ensuring efficient and effective care.
  • Operate imaging systems for special procedures, maintaining high-quality images and minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Apply quality assurance measures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiography required; Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred.
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology required; 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required.
  • ARRT (VI) certification required within one year of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands

The job requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are essential, as well as attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to fumes, cold, heat, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
