The Residence Hall Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering a supportive, engaging, and dynamic living-learning environment for students residing in our residence halls or apartment complexes. Reporting to the Associate Directors of Residential Education, the Coordinator is responsible for comprehensive leadership, direction, and management of a residential community housing 350 to 800 students, supported by a team of 8 to 22 Resident Advisors or Community Assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Counseling and Advising: Provide guidance and support to students on academic and personal matters.
- Co-Curricular Educational Initiatives: Coordinate programs and activities that promote student learning and development.
- Crisis Management: Respond to and manage crises that may arise within the residential community.
- Judicial Affairs, Budget Management, and Facilities Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential community, including budget management and facilities maintenance.
This position includes living on-site in a furnished apartment within the residence hall or complex, with meals provided during active dining service periods.
About the Position
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2026, with the possibility of reappointment.
