Job Overview

The Culinary Service Associate will support the management team in food and meal preparation, ensuring accurate cash handling and meal documentation. This role involves assisting in the completion of daily operational reports while upholding exceptional standards in food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols.

COMPENSATION: The hourly wage for this position is set between $15.50 and $15.50, influenced by various factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant certifications, previous experience, market trends, and other pertinent considerations. Additional earnings may include bonuses or commissions where applicable. This represents Aramark's reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role at the time of posting.

Upon hiring, the employee will be classified as 'at-will,' and Aramark retains the authority to adjust base salary and any discretionary compensation at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to individual performance, departmental performance, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality meals and baked goods according to established menus
- Generate daily reports to verify financial transactions
- Understand meal composition and requirements
- Ensure proper storage of food items in a sanitary manner
- Serve meals in accordance with scheduled times and departmental policies
- Utilize and maintain kitchen equipment properly, particularly knives
- Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
- Enhance presentation with appropriate garnishments for customer satisfaction
- Assist in the thorough cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment
- Comply with all food safety regulations regarding sanitation and food handling
- Follow the uniform policy diligently
- Communicate daily with the Manager to accurately prepare the menu
- Monitor food temperature compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Perform cleaning tasks including scrubbing surfaces and sanitizing equipment
- Adhere to established cleanliness standards to ensure a safe environment
- Keep garbage collection areas and kitchen floors tidy
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned within the kitchen
- This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
