Simulator Operator

ENGINEERING SUPPORT PERSONNEL INC is seeking a highly qualified Flight Instructor to provide instruction in associated simulators at a naval air station. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation and be able to effectively brief and debrief students under instruction.
Key Responsibilities- Brief and Debrief Students: Provide clear and concise instruction to students in a classroom and simulator environment.
- Lecture and Demonstrate: Deliver lectures and demonstrations in an instructor-led classroom environment.
- Evaluate Student Performance: Evaluate students under instruction in a flight simulator and provide feedback on their performance.
- Operate Flight Simulators: Safely operate full-motion and non-motion flight simulators to provide realistic training experiences.
- Prepare Executive Summaries: Prepare detailed executive summaries at the conclusion of a course to document student progress and areas for improvement.
- Manage Course Updates: Manage assigned courses for updates, modifications, and recommendations to the Curriculum Development Department.
- Obtain and Maintain Qualifications: Obtain and maintain NATOPS qualification as a CSI (contract simulator instructor) and administer check rides to students for NATOPS/Instrument qualifications.
- Report to Site Manager: Report to the Site Manager and provide regular updates on student progress and course performance.
- Government Security Clearance: A government security clearance is required, and US citizenship is mandatory.
- Aviation Experience: A CIN must be or have been an E-2 NATOPS qualified Naval Flight Officer (NFO) within the preceding five years or have been an E-2 simulator instructor (NFO) or CIN within the previous five years.
- Designation and Qualifications: A CIN must have, at a minimum, been a designated E-2 Combat Information Center Officer (CICO) (i.e. level 300 Air Combat Training Continuum (ACTC) qualification or greater).
- Criminal History: A CIN shall not have had any punitive actions on their record that resulted in termination of their flight status.
- College Degree: A four-year College degree is required.
- Knowledge of DOD Rules and Regulations: Knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD) rules and regulations governing aircraft operation is necessary.
- NATOPS Exams: Annual completion of NATOPS Open-Book, Closed-Book, and boldface exams is required.
- Understanding of E-2D Mission: Demonstrated understanding of the E-2D mission, crew procedures, tactics, and threat systems/tactics is essential.
- Starting Pay: Starting pay for Full Time and Part Time NFO: $76.48 Per Hour
- Pay Increase: 4.5% Pay Increase Each December 1st.
- Benefits Package: ESP Pays Monthly Premium for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.
- Holidays and Vacation: Eleven (11) Paid Holidays, Two (2) Weeks Paid Vacation, and Twenty-Four (24) Paid Sick Days.
- Sign-on Bonus: One Time $1,500 (Net) Sign-on Bonus for Full Time, $750 (Net) for Part Time.
- Retention Bonus: $4,000 retention bonus (net) for Full Time NFO at end of each 12 months. Prorated bonus for Part Time NFO(s).
