Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced OTR driver to join our team at WEL Companies. As a Refrigerated Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW.
  • Transport and deliver goods/materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form.
  • Unload trucks and use automated routing equipment as needed.
  • Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status.
  • Check vehicles before driving to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes.
  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources and verify instructions and routes.
  • Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
Requirements
  • 1+ year / 150,000 mile minimum experience.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Ability to operate Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
