Position Overview:

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated Clinic Dietitians to provide exceptional nutrition care services.

Role Levels:

Level I:

Oversee all aspects of nutritional care, including assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling for both inpatients and outpatients across various healthcare environments.

Ensure compliance with performance improvement initiatives, Joint Commission standards, and other regulatory requirements.


Level II:
Assume a leadership role, guiding a team while fulfilling the responsibilities of Level I.

Key Responsibilities:

Level I:
  • Deliver nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy aligned with patient health objectives.
  • Assess, interpret, monitor, and document the nutritional status and requirements of patients based on established care standards.
  • Provide culturally appropriate nutrition counseling tailored to the diverse needs of patients and their families.
  • Create, review, and update educational resources for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Authorize dietary orders, supplements, enteral/parenteral nutrition, and lab data in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate as a vital member of the clinical interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain registered dietitian (RD) credentials, including ongoing professional development.
  • Mentor dietetic interns and train newly hired clinical staff.
  • Supervise the daily activities of registered dietetic technicians, providing input on performance evaluations.
  • Adhere to Nutrition Services meeting and attendance standards.

Level II:
  • Fulfill all Level I responsibilities.
  • Complete monthly performance improvement assessments.
  • Assist the department director in revising and updating departmental policies and procedures.
  • Organize and manage the work schedules and daily tasks of clinical dietitians and dietetic interns.

Minimum Qualifications:
Level I:

Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or a related field is preferred, along with state-specific requirements.

One year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred; exceptions may apply for certain roles.


Level II:

All Level I qualifications apply.

Two years of experience in an acute care environment, including one year in a supervisory capacity, is preferred; exceptions may apply for certain roles.

Successful completion of a coordinated program or dietetic internship of at least 900 hours under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian is preferred.

Both levels must successfully complete the company’s testing process.

Current BLS certification, physical examination per state or contract regulations, and TB test or chest x-ray are required.
