Job Title: Respiratory Lead Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory Lead Therapist to join our team at PromptCare. As a key member of our respiratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of safe and effective respiratory services and products to patients at home.

Job Summary

The Respiratory Lead Therapist will be responsible for supervising and collaborating with a team of respiratory therapists, assessing patient needs, and developing plans of care. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train new staff members, documenting their orientation
  • Collaborate with warehouse technicians on inventory, equipment needs, and preventative maintenance
  • Work closely with the regional director on branch operations
  • Review admission criteria and assess patient home care candidacy
  • Address safety and environmental concerns during patient admission
  • Oversee ongoing patient assessments, including status, equipment, maintenance, and psychosocial aspects
  • Ensure proper initiation, implementation, and evaluation of patient plans of service
  • Triage patient issues and new discharges
  • Lead in implementing clinical and organizational process changes
  • Assist with scheduling patient set-ups and follow-up visits
  • Participate in on-call rotations
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited respiratory school and have current RCP state licensure in the state inquiring of employment and in good standing
  • Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states as determined by the regional director of respiratory operations, at the company's expense
  • Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing
  • At least 2 years' experience as a working respiratory therapist is required; experience in the home setting is highly desirable
  • Must have the desire and skill to manage a team of respiratory therapists
  • Previous experience managing RTs in the field is required
  • CRTT or RRT certification is required
  • Current CPR certification is required
