OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
The Residential Care Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring adequate staffing within the Independent Living Community, serving as a vital link between residents and Comfort Keepers, while also managing administrative tasks related to resident care coordination. This role encompasses various facets of resident support and collaborates closely with fellow caregivers and staff members.
Resident Support Coordination:
Facilitate the onboarding process for new residents, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
Conduct initial evaluations and discussions with new residents and their families.
Organize and oversee the care schedules for residents within the Independent Living Community.
Engage effectively with residents and their families to address their care requirements.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Develop and maintain essential forms and records for each resident's care plan.
Ensure all documentation is current and adheres to state regulations.
Review documentation submitted by caregivers under supervision.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist with various administrative tasks as required, including filing, data entry, and phone communications.
Collaborate with other team members to enhance administrative processes.
Relay any changes or concerns regarding resident care to the Independent Living Community staff.
Provide guidance for caregivers who may require additional support.
Shift Coverage Responsibilities:
Be available to cover shifts within the Independent Living Community as necessary to ensure continuous resident care coverage.
Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate unexpected staffing needs.
Supervise and train caregivers as required.
Emergency Preparedness:
Be ready to respond promptly to emergencies or urgent situations within the Independent Living Community.
Exhibit the ability to prioritize and manage crisis situations effectively.
Qualifications:
HCA or CNA certification in the state of Washington.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous administrative experience is preferred.
Strong computer skills.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Capacity to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
Compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality care to residents.
Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
