Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Multi-Purpose Clerk to join our team at Save Mart Supermarkets. As a key member of our bakery/deli department, you will be responsible for promoting sales, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the checkstand and process customer transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment and quality.
- Stock, rotate, and merchandise product to maintain freshness and department appeal.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer requests for products.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including sweeping and mopping sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas.
- High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or additional job experience.
- Six months of related experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self-motivation.
- Capability to be proactive, initiative, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job.
The Multi-Purpose Clerk position requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis, as well as lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
