Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Southeastern Grocers. As a Grocery Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the overall success of our retail grocery location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous attention to customer needs, greeting, assisting, and thanking customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Offer product suggestions when appropriate to enhance customer shopping experience.
  • Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control, restock, and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest supply cost.
  • Operate department equipment and tools, including cash registers, scanners, and other point-of-sale systems.
  • Assist with receiving vendor merchandise, unloading truck deliveries promptly, and notifying management of any issues or concerns.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Meet legal and company policy age requirements to perform job functions.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
