Milieu Manager

At Addiction and Mental Health Services, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Milieu Manager to join our team at Woodland Recovery Center. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will play a critical role in creating a safe, supportive, and structured therapeutic environment for our clients.

• Therapeutic Environment Oversight: Ensure the day-to-day operations within the treatment milieu are safe, therapeutic, and structured, promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere for client recovery and growth.
• Client Safety and Well-being: Conduct regular safety checks, monitor client behavior, and address any disruptive or potentially harmful situations, ensuring the physical and emotional safety of all clients and staff.
• Therapeutic Engagement: Promote and facilitate therapeutic activities in coordination with clinical staff, assisting clients with emotional regulation, life skills development, and social interactions as part of their treatment plan.
• Staff Collaboration and Supervision: Provide leadership and guidance to Behavioral Health Technicians, ensuring they understand their roles in the milieu and adhere to treatment protocols, and coordinate with clinical teams to align milieu activities with individualized treatment plans.
• Crisis Management: Lead crisis intervention efforts when behavioral, emotional, or medical emergencies arise, utilizing de-escalation strategies and therapeutic approaches to manage situations involving clients in distress.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting, with experience managing a therapeutic environment or direct supervision of clients preferred.
• Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to manage and de-escalate crises effectively, experience in providing therapeutic interventions and maintaining a structured, therapeutic environment, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires a combination of administrative duties and direct client supervision in a fast-paced behavioral health facility. The Milieu Manager must be comfortable working with clients who may experience emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
