Join a Leader in Environmental Testing

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Analyst I to join our team at Eurofins Environment Testing Northwest in Tacoma, WA. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for performing sample preparation and analysis, data interpretation, and ensuring the quality of our results.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $20-$23 per hour. You will work Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with flexibility for overtime and weekend coverage as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience, and at least 1-2 years of preparation and analytical experience. You will also have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sample preparation and analysis using ion chromatography, UV-VIS, discrete analyzers, and other instrumentation
  • Interpret and manage data using LIMS and Excel, ensuring it meets established QA/QC criteria
  • Review analytical sample preparation data for completeness, calculation accuracy, data interpretation, and data quality objective coherence
  • Conduct review of required QA/QC procedures and recommend corrective actions when necessary
  • Troubleshoot instrument problems, perform routine maintenance, and consult with vendor technicians when needed
  • Manage inventory needs, including maintaining stock of all necessary components, supplies, standards, and reagents
  • Utilize computer software to prioritize work, track samples, acquire data, perform calculations, and statistical analysis
  • Constructively problem-solve work issues with team members and provide feedback to Group Leaders, Lab Managers, Quality Assurance Officers, and Project Managers
