Pharmacy Manager Job Description

CVS Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacy Manager to join our team. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct Pharmacy Staff, including Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the pharmacy, including patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management
  • Develop and implement patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy
  • Lead with Heart, displaying empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
  • Motivate and inspire Pharmacy Support Staff to maximize their strengths and address development opportunities
  • Identify and implement business opportunities to drive growth and improve performance
  • Adapt to change and adjust plans to thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting
Requirements:
  • Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA)
  • Pharmacist in Charge listing on the pharmacy state license
  • Submission of required information/documents to the state PMP administrator
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree
