Job Summary:
As a key member of the Wellstar Health System, Inc. leadership team, the Senior Director of Ambulatory Nursing Services will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of patient care services within Ambulatory Care Services. This role requires a strong leader who can direct patient care for all services in this area of responsibility and function collaboratively in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating these services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Exhibit administrative responsibility, authority, and accountability for the development, implementation, and maintenance of patient care services within Ambulatory Care Services.
• Direct patient care for all services in this area of responsibility and function collaboratively in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating services.
• Promote quality outcomes in services provided for customers and families.
• Provide leadership for the ongoing customer service initiative and promote a work environment where employees are empowered to collaborate, negotiate, and participate in successfully performing work activities, problem-solving, and service improvement.
• Actively participate in departmental and hospital-wide activities through membership on committees and special teams and support and actively promote organizational initiatives.
• Demonstrate leadership and flexibility and promote collaboration and teamwork within Ambulatory Care Services and with other departments in the organization.

Requirements:
• Masters in Nursing or Bachelors in Nursing with a Masters in Business Administration/Management or Health Administration is required.
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• Basic Life Support
• Registered Nurse - Georgia or Compact
• Minimum 8 years experience in nursing is required.
• Minimum 4 years in a nursing leadership position is required.
