Mattel is seeking a Lead Oracle Financials Solutions Architect with a robust functional and technical architecture background to design, implement, and refine our Oracle Cloud Fusion applications ecosystem.

The successful candidate will join the Global Technology Organization (GTO) within the Corporate Systems Applications division, which supports Finance, Legal, and Human Resource operations. This group is currently transitioning from Oracle eBusiness Suite to Oracle Cloud Fusion.

The ideal Lead Oracle Financials Solutions Architect will possess extensive experience in architecting and facilitating the migration from Oracle EBS to Fusion, applying industry best practices to Mattel's initiatives.

They will have a profound understanding of Oracle Cloud Fusion applications, integration technologies, and cloud architecture best practices, along with a comprehensive grasp of essential workstream pillars, including:
  • Order to Cash
  • Record to Report
  • Requisition to Pay
  • Acquire to Retire
  • Plan to Perform
  • Projects to Result
Additionally, they will be adept at understanding and supporting interdependencies across various process areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Oracle system architecture during the migration from Oracle Financials EBS to Oracle Cloud Fusion.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Oracle Accounting Hub.
  • Support enterprise design and integration solutions between Oracle Cloud Fusion applications and other enterprise systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and security of Oracle Cloud Fusion implementations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conduct regular architecture reviews and propose enhancements to existing systems.
  • Stay updated with Oracle Cloud Fusion updates and new features, recommending adoptions when advantageous.
  • Bring expertise and experience to the Corporate Applications team as a senior Oracle cloud system expert, interfacing with IT peers and business users.
  • Work with internal customers, external consultants, and vendors to support project and operational tasks related to the Oracle Cloud Financials environment.
  • Analyze business challenges and opportunities, architecting solutions to help the organization achieve its objectives.
  • Create and maintain documentation outlining recommended solutions, including Functional Design Documents, Technical Design Documents, and Detailed Design Documents.
  • Develop current state and future process flows.
  • Engage with Mattel application leads, business leads, third-party application partners, and consulting partners to understand and analyze functional and technical requirements.
  • Lead design discussions with IT and business resources, clearly communicating core application functionality and change impacts.
  • Participate in code review sessions for team deliverables as necessary.
  • Guide team members involved in development and unit testing.
  • Provide written and verbal status updates to management on a weekly basis and as requested.
  • Troubleshoot critical issues in development, staging, or production environments.
  • Support go-live preparations and production rollout activities.
  • Assist with business-driven projects that integrate in-house systems and cloud-based SaaS solutions.
