Responsibilities:


This role is responsible for coordinating Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) initiatives and other community development efforts to foster mutually beneficial relationships for the Bank.

It involves cultivating partnerships with various organizations and individuals to achieve community development and lending goals. Additionally, the position supports CRA initiatives led by regional, area, and market leaders.

Maintaining a strong community presence on behalf of the Bank is essential to facilitate sales and marketing efforts in targeted regions.

Grant Operational Support - entails evaluating CRA-qualified philanthropic grants.

Relationship Development - Proactively builds effective relationships with organizations and individuals that provide community development opportunities.

Seeks partnerships with self-help organizations, housing authorities, low-income housing entities, local government departments, realtors, churches, and other groups focused on CRA-related activities or that offer access to targeted customer markets.

Community Outreach - Develops a customer base by establishing and sustaining a robust community presence. Represents the Bank at special events and through volunteer activities. Participates on boards and committees of community organizations, attends meetings, and conducts workshops and seminars.


Community Reinvestment - Assesses the financial service needs of designated communities and delivers solutions either personally or in collaboration with Bank leadership.

Achieves or surpasses lending objectives by promoting products and services aligned with CRA and Fair Lending principles.

Business Support - Collaborates with Human Resources in specific markets to establish connections and develop pipelines of diverse workforce candidates. Facilitates the Bank's objectives to cultivate talent that reflects the ethnic diversity of the communities served.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Community Leadership, Compliance, or Financial Services

  • High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Community Leadership, Compliance, or Financial Services

License or Certification Type:
Valid driver's license Required

Additional Skill(s):
Familiarity with the Community Reinvestment Act and its key components related to lending, investment, and service evaluations.

Understanding of government assistance programs for first-time or affordable home buyers, small businesses, and community development initiatives.

Willingness to travel frequently to various offices, Bank clients, etc., using personal transportation.
