Job Overview:
As an Industrial Process Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the industrialization standards set by Cabin and Division are adhered to throughout the program lifecycle. Your role will involve:
- Monitoring compliance with industrialization standards during all program phases.
- Identifying challenges and acting as a liaison with production engineering and process methods to suggest improvements.
- Assisting production teams in enhancement initiatives and QRQC activities.
- Evaluating production efficiency and recommending necessary enhancements.
- Documenting engineering modifications and updating work instructions, tooling, routings, and BOM as needed.
- Training operators on new or revised manufacturing processes.
- Collaborating with the tooling team to create shop aids or class C tools as necessary.
- Conducting time studies and developing standard work instructions.
- Contributing to cost proposals submitted to clients.
- Promoting and implementing Lean methodologies.
- Leading and participating in Kaizen and 3P events to foster improvements.
- Supporting departmental and personal objectives and metrics.
Additional Responsibilities:
You will execute the industrial dossier in alignment with Cabin and Division standards, working closely with operational teams to support RCCA's, engineering changes, and product/process advancements. You will also be responsible for maintaining the production elements of the industrial dossier throughout the program's lifecycle, ensuring work instructions, BOM, and routings are current.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience:
4-5 years in a related field.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Windows OS, Office XP, AutoCAD, and familiar with design software.
Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and Lean tools such as value stream mapping (VSM) and 5S.
Position Level:
Intermediate-Mid Level within the job role.
