About the Role

SportsCare Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to support our clinical team and ensure that our patients receive the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care by providing direct support to patients during their therapy sessions, following the guidance of the physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
  • Assist in patient education by explaining exercises, proper form, and treatment goals as directed by the clinical team.
  • Maintain cleanliness by keeping treatment areas, exercise equipment, and therapy rooms clean and sanitized to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Assist with laundry duties, such as washing and folding linens, towels, and other materials.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including tracking and documenting patient progress and adherence to exercise programs.
  • Ensure that therapy equipment is properly maintained and report any equipment issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, physical therapists, and other team members to facilitate a smooth patient experience.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is beneficial.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as required.
