We are currently looking for a full-time Healthcare Support Technician. This role involves working 36 hours per week during evening shifts and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet on-site visitors, ascertain their purpose, and notify the relevant personnel.
  • Evaluate visitors for urgent needs and provide necessary support while awaiting clinical staff intervention.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, identify the purpose, and direct calls to the appropriate department.
  • Record and relay messages or redirect calls to voicemail when necessary personnel are unavailable.
  • Manage emergency calls, gather information, direct them to the appropriate clinical staff, and document the interactions.
  • Make public announcements and respond to codes as required.
  • Provide general information about the organization and assist callers with directions and other inquiries.
  • Oversee visitor access, maintain visitor logs, issue required passes, and inform visitors about policies and visiting hours.
  • Document and secure patient valuables upon admission and ensure their return at discharge.
  • Update electronic medical records with admission and discharge details.
  • Prepare timely correspondence, reports, and other documentation, and perform clerical tasks as needed.
  • Receive admission requests from various agencies and relay necessary information to the appropriate clinical staff.
  • Maintain a schedule for room usage and manage requests for space.
  • Respond to emergency alerts and follow established protocols.
  • Engage in training and development opportunities to stay updated with job responsibilities.
  • Address customer needs promptly and meet service commitments.
  • Resolve conflicts effectively while maintaining confidentiality and listening attentively.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively in various situations and seek clarification when needed.
  • Provide appropriate responses to inquiries related to the position and refer questions to the relevant departments.
  • Balance individual and team responsibilities, welcome feedback, and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Participate in the organization's Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred two years of prior office experience.
